Since then, the idea of detoxification in which you drank a mixture of water, cayenne Pepper, and molasses to flush out your system has become very popular, especially when a star has endorsed this diet.
One has to understand this thing before one goes on to a drastic diet. If your genes consist of people who have been fat for the past couple of generations, there is no way in which you can get a Naomi Campbell like silhouette. Nevertheless, half of us go in for detoxification diets, just because it is fashionable and we want to get in shape for the beach. One also has to remember another thing. Continuous dieting is injurious to your physical, mental and physiological health. Not only is your body starved of essential nutrients, but the physiology of your brain starts changing, because it is not getting the minerals which are necessary to keep it functioning properly.
That is maybe the reason why many models find themselves throwing tantrums just because they are half starved and would kill for a hamburger. That is the reason why detoxification diets implemented upon a patient who is suffering from drug addiction are quite capable of making his physical, mental and physiological make up even worse. That is why he has to be fed essential nutrients, as well as proteins, carbohydrates and other essential minerals.
