Alcoholism: SOCIETAL IMAPCT

Alcoholism begins with the inability to restrict your consumption of alcohol as well as the inability to refuse any invitation to drink alcohol, when it is offered to you.  Because that means that, your body has already accepted that you are preparing it for another intake of alcohol.  If you cannot get that alcohol at that moment, it is going to go into protest mode.

This shows that you are getting physically dependent upon alcohol.  This is normally seen in adolescents, as well as teenagers who have into the alcohol habit.  They started with drinking alcohol with friends.  It also meant that peer pressure made them drink alcohol because they did not want to refuse to drink.  Then drinking is so cool, especially when the big people are doing that.  Childress start drinking alcohol, because they do not want to feel alienated among their peers.  They also think that SSS will social interaction can only happen when plenty of drinks are downed and the atmosphere is full of alcohol-induced joie de vivre.

Just imagine that somebody relocated to another place.  He has started school in a new state or county.  He starts drinking in order to relate and associate with his new friends, and because he does not want to feel different from them.  So downing a beer with his new chums is going to be his way of showing that he is one of the guys.  This social dependence gives way to physical dependence upon alcohol, because the time comes when people stop using the excuse of social interaction to get their daily dose of alcohol.  And that is why they begin craving the buzz and excitement which alcohol gives them.  This is the first step towards alcoholism.
